About the role 
At Hello Neighbour, we're dedicated to harnessing data-driven insights for informed decision-making and business success. We're on the lookout for a versatile Data Analyst with expertise in ETL processes, data cleansing, API integration, and proficiency in key tools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, SQL, and Power BI. If you're passionate about data and possess a diverse skill set in data analytics, we invite you to be a part of our dynamic team.

As a Data Analyst with a focus on ETL processes, you'll be integral to transforming raw data into valuable insights and streamlining data flows across core systems to enhance overall business efficiency. Your role will involve data sourcing, ETL workflows, meticulous data cleansing, and creating data-driven reports and dashboards.

We operate in a fast-paced environment where we are building out new technology and ways of working that are scalable for the future, so this role would be suitable to someone who enjoys that too.   

Your key responsibilities
These core tasks best reflect the regular, daily workload of the position. (This list is not exhaustive).

1. Data Sourcing and API Integration:

• Gather data from various APIs, databases, and internal/external sources
• Create and implement ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading • Ensure data integrity and reliability during the data sourcing process.

2. Data Cleansing and Transformation:
• Employ robust data cleansing and preprocessing techniques to maintain data quality
• Standardise and enrich data to facilitate meaningful analysis
• Identify and resolve data anomalies and inconsistencies

3. ETL Workflow Management:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL workflows utilizing Azure Data Factory and SSIS
• Monitor, schedule, troubleshoot data integration jobs, and enhance data pipeline efficiency

4. Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Leverage SQL and Power BI for in-depth data analysis and visualisation
• Craft informative reports and dashboards to communicate insights to stakeholders
• Develop and maintain predictive models and data-driven solutions

5. Collaborative Work:
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the executive team, product, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and objectives
• Contribute to the design and execution of data experiments and A/B tests

6. Data Governance and Compliance:
• Uphold data governance best practices, ensuring data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations

Core skills

• Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning techniques

• Strong and proactive problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong written and verbal communication

•  Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

• Detail-oriented with a commitment to data quality and accuracy

• Ability to adapt to and thrive with change


Technology skills 

• Proficiency in ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory and SSIS

• Strong knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation

• Proficiency in data visualization tools, with a focus on Power BI

• Quick adaptability to new technology


Education and/or experience 

• Working knowledge of the lettings industry and relevant legislation would be advantageous but not essential

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems)

• Minimum of two years proven experience as a Data Analyst at a Mid to Senior level with expertise in ETL processes and API sourcing.

Working pattern: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm, with a 1-hour lunch break

Location: New Malden, London, KT3 

Salary Range: Competitive market-related salary (dependent on experience)

About the role
As a vital member of our Customer Happiness Team, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the happiness and safety of our landlords and tenants as they live in their homes. We're in search of someone who is genuinely passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience to achieve this mission.

In this role, you'll be the linchpin in the landlord-tenant relationship once the tenants move in. You'll leverage internal and external resources to provide that extraordinary customer experience, building strong relationships, resolving issues, and ensuring 100% compliance across our property portfolio. This is a desk-based role with minimal property visits required.



What you bring to the role
• Prior experience: you've got a background in the lettings industry, with a strong grasp of the landscape, especially when it comes to legislation and compliance

• Desire for growth: you're interested in personal development and are keen to complete an ARLA Level 3 qualification if you haven't already done so

• Adaptability: you're ready to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-focused, start-up environment; you're hands-on, agile, and can think independently

 

Key responsibilities

These core tasks best reflect the regular, daily workload of the position. (This list is not exhaustive).

• Property Portfolio Management: you're responsible for a portfolio of properties and the associated landlord-tenant relationships

• Issue Management: utilise the FixFlo system to handle and resolve issues swiftly

• First Point of Contact: be the primary contact for tenant issues and landlord requests

• Maintenance Coordination: resolve maintenance issues and collaborate with landlords, tenants, and contractors for access and approvals

• Compliance Champion: ensure that statutory certificates and all compliance matters are up-to-date and satisfactory

• Snagging Solutions: help resolve any snagging issues identified in the inventory reports during the tenancy

• Inspections and Handovers: manage midterm inspections and ensure smooth handovers with the Customer Success team

• Renewals and Move Outs: oversee the renewal and move-out processes

• Legal Support: serve and advise on Section 8 and Section 21 notices when required

• Finance Management: authorise and process invoices, protect deposits, and resolve deposit disputes

• Documentation: process and manage property management-related documentation within the tenancy lifecycle

• Growth-Centric: we experience daily growth and are seeking team members who are dedicated to fostering our expansion and optimising our processes; our goal is to support and serve as many landlords as possible, all in the pursuit of our mission to revolutionise the lettings industry for the better

• HMO's: we have a growing number of HMO properties and need to ensure licensing compliance

• Industry knowledge: it is imperative that as a Property Manager you stay up-to-date with current legislation

• Ad Hoc Support: be ready to handle additional tasks aligned with this role

Technology

• FixFlo Familiarity: knowledge of FixFlo or similar platforms is a plus


Education and/or Experience

• Lettings Expertise: prior experience as a Lettings Property Manager or in a similar role

• Industry Knowledge: excellent knowledge and experience in the lettings industry, with expertise in relevant legislation and compliance

• Qualification: possess an ARLA Level 3 qualification or the aspiration to complete it
