What to expect from 25th October 2024
Every property that Hello Neighbour manages has its own client money account on Lettspay, known as a "wallet". This means that every household will have its own bank account to pay rent into using a choice of methods outlined in this article.
How to pay rent
5 days before the rent is due a payment request will be sent out via email and text message with details of what is due.
When clicking More Info, you will be redirected to the dedicated Hello Neighbour LettsPay payment portal. This may look a little different to our usual branding but will still be recognisable.
The first page of the portal shows a list of all outstanding payment requests, your payment reference, and it includes a link (Pay by Bank) to access the main payment page with the wallet details (screenshot below).
Click Pay by Bank to access the main payment page (screenshot below)
You will then be presented with two options to make payments:
- Open banking bank transfer
- Manual bank transfer / standing order
Open banking bank transfer
You can then select your bank from the dropdown menu just under the payment amount.
If your bank is not part of the open banking network, it will not appear.
Once your bank is selected, a Continue button appears. Clicking the button redirects you to your online banking login page.
Once logged in, you will just need to authorise the payment, as all the payment details are prepopulated.
Manual bank transfer / standing order
If you want to make a manual bank transfer or setup a standing order, you also have access to the full wallet (bank account) details required to make a payment or set up regular payments. You will also have recieved these in the welcome email when you moved into your home or were migrated onto LettsPay.
The bank details are displayed at the bottom of the page, as shown in the screenshot below:
Help is at hand
